Last night I went shopping and got amounts of $123.22 with a checkout time of 8:41. And also I got a flat bike tire so I took a cab home, but the amount before the tip was 11.16! So it was bad amounts once again, I hope they improve soon. I hope all is well.

Online movies and the “numbers” associated with them
Not that I watch that many movies online, but in the past few months until recently I had been choosing to watch shows and movies that I’m interested in based on the “numbers” associated with them such as their ratings, which can be very limiting and also I was noticing that ones with such numbers that are supposedly “positive” can sometimes be very bad! So for now on I won’t be paying attention to such numbers associated with such videos, but rather I’ll be watching them based only on how much I’m interested in watching them.
I hope everyone is having a nice Christmas!
Update..
It’s been a bit of a crazy time for me lately.. Since I’ve stopped sending email updates some months ago I’ve been keeping the specifics of what has been happening mostly to myself.
The end of the year is coming and still the resolution hasn’t happened, which bothers me.. The situation has been happening for a LONG time. What would happen if it continues into next year? That year ends in a “9” though, so wouldn’t that presumably not be as preferable as it happening this year? But does the year and date really even matter though? If it does, I suppose I could keep working on things until the year 2020! I have a backlog of technical tasks that I could focus on. It would be nice to be able to delegate tasks to other people though, but there are a lot of things that I could continue work on in preparation for later delegation.. I could keep myself busy while also making frequent updates to the sites. The extra time would certainly put me in a great position to configure the actual organizations and start delegating in 2020, although that is not what I expected though!
On the 15th of this month, I send a message to cancel my subscription to a financial service, and the “book flipping” seemed to lose its mind over my doing that, apparently because I submitted the message at 2:20 pm (which shouldn’t have mattered in the slightest though!). Apparently my doing that was some sort of an ultimate sin as far as the book flipping was concerned… It was as if it was saying “Oh, NOW you’ve done it!!! NOOOOOW you’ve done it!! Everything would have been SO GREAT until you you did that! Now everything is totally ruined! RUINED I say!!” Ect.. ect.. In other words it was the typical sort of crap that it often says about the petty timing of things that I do. I’m so curious about how everything is interpreted on the other side.. Is there some sort of “book flipping” there on a “receiving end”? If so, people should realize how petty and ridiculous that system actually is— people should realize that it is absolutely NOT based on anything or anyone being either “right” or “wrong”— instead it is apparently ONLY based on the petty timings of things that I do, and that is it!
The other day I accidentally stopped up the toilet when I tried to flush dried wheatgrass remnants along with peanut shells. I can get the water to eventually go down (but very slowly) when using a plunger, but I need a way to actually remove the blockage. At first I was going to buy a liquid drain cleaner on Amazon, but the instructions said that they are not safe to use with toilets. So I decided to buy a toilet snake instead, and I ordered that.
I’ve been really tired about the amounts having “meaning” when I make online purchases, as I’ve said many time in the past— so those amounts don’t matter. But I think people are incorrectly trying to add meaning to that anyway. But after I made it clear in email announcements in the past that those amounts don’t have meaning, it then seemed as if the Universe was trying to “test” me about that.. where it would give me either extremely positive or extremely negative amounts, which was actually very confusing and I often found myself fudging it to try to make the amounts just “neutral” to make it “clear” that the amounts don’t mean anything— thinking that people would think that I was still “trying” otherwise. So then yesterday when I ordered the snake, it had a total amount of $13.75.. and I felt I was in another one of those situations where people would think I was “trying”, and I saw that 10:37 pm was about to happen soon.. so I though “yea well— WHATEVER” I’ll just do it at 10:37 because the 75 is bad, being tired about artificially making the amounts be “neutral” at that moment. And then afterward the book flipping has been giving me confusing messages about it.. People don’t seem to remember that I don’t even know what is going on in the situation, so my making decisions like that is nearly impossible other than just to give out positive vibes. But in any event I’m sure that everything will eventually turn out great as long as people continue to understand that preconfigurations can’t be made in the situation before the resolution, for all of the obvious reasons. I hope all is well!
“The Waltons” was a great show..
Recently I watched episodes from the first season of “The Waltons”.. What a great show! I’ve never seen any of the early shows from the first season before. I’ve watched the show sometimes when it originally aired, but I was wondering why I wasn’t watching it more often on Thursday nights, so I checked to see what was running opposite of it at that time..
I was born in 1971, and the show started airing in 1973.
In 1976 – 78 I was watching Welcome Back Kotter and What’s Happening!! (and CHiPs) .. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976%E2%80%9377_United_States_network_television_schedule
In 1978 / 79 it was Mork & Mindy, and What’s Happening!! (and Project UFO).
In 1979 – 81 it was Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century..
.. Tsk in retrospect other than What’s Happening!! I wish I would have watched The Waltons instead. Such are the dilemmas that people had back then before VCRs.. (ha ha)
Beware of the “Soap Opera Effect” on new flat screen TVs!
When I was visiting family over the Thanksgiving holiday we were watching movies on a high definition flat screen display, however I was surprised to see that even though the picture was very detailed, the overall appearance of the picture quality looked as if it was shot an a cheap video camera, including even when we were watching cinema movies like “The Godfather”! I just chalked it up to the movies somehow being rushed to be remastered in order to be compatible with those TVs, also thinking that perhaps it was some sort of a ploy to get people to purchase “re – remastered” videos sometime in the future.
.. So I just remembered today to check online about that to see if anyone else has noticed it, and it turns out that it is a known phenomena which is aptly named “The Soap Opera Effect”— Which I think is a perfect way to describe it! Apparently for some crazy reason that effect is activated by default on such TVs and it can be shut off in the settings! Why such TVs would have such a setting in the first place is beyond me— it totally destroys the picture quality, but even more crazy is that the setting is activated by default! Why?!
If you do a search engine search for “high definition soap opera effect” you will find numerous articles explaining it and how to shut it off.
UPDATE— After looking into the topic a bit more I see that the feature is known as “motion smoothing,” which tries to “fill in” missing information between frames, which is fine for watching sports but it destroys the appearance of cinema movies. Modern high-def TVs use a frame rate of 60 or even 120 frames per second, but cinema film is shot at 24 fps, so if a modern TV attempts to artificially “compensate” for that it makes the picture look as if it was shot on a video camera, which is 30 fps. Supposedly TV manufacturers have that feature activated by default because they think that it makes the picture look “snappier” to potential consumers in the showroom (but what happens when those consumers try to preview a movie in the showroom with that setting activated though?)
Fasting vs. Eating Less
I saw this video which talks about the differences between eating tiny portions of food and fasting, explaining reasons why fasting is more preferable for weight loss. I agree with what it says about not being hungry after three days while fasting. Apparently ten days is a much more common length of time to fast, but I usually do it for seven days.
In my previous post I didn’t intend to convey that I plan to eat only “tiny little meals” each day though.. Rather I’m eating somewhat small “normal” portions while making sure that I don’t overeat or snack during the day. I can tell that my current food supply is going to last much longer.
Also I realize that eating disorders exist, however I don’t think that it should make people not want to talk about being slim and fit. I think as long as people are aware of the dangers of eating disorders and they know what the healthy alternatives are to that, then it would greatly decrease the chances of that happening to someone.

Diet Issues..
Today I’ve decided to start addressing a remaining issue with my diet, which is for me to become much more of what I call a “controlled small portionist”.. I was visiting family over the Thanksgiving holiday and I noticed that I’ve become a bit stocky in the weeks before then, and I attribute that to overeating when I had a lot of food in the house. My weight tends to go up and down rather quickly, so my goal now is to work out how to always essentially keep it at the amount that I want, which for me would be in the 170’s, which is about 30 pounds less than I weigh at the moment.
When I made the raw food article on NOITV recently I thought it would put a fire under my butt to ensure that I keep my weight under control, but even switching to eating a lot of raw food isn’t the whole story. Ultimately it’s also about always eating rather small portions of food in a controlled manner (or at least not overly large portions). My problem has been that I tend make a lot of food in bulk such as a large quantity of delicious soup for instance, and I’m always tempted to keep eating large amounts of it until it is gone, which can happen very quickly no matter how large of a quantity that I make.
I’ve been a rather strict vegan for many years and I’ve found switching to a vegan diet and also even to a raw food diet to be very easy. (However over the holiday I’ve eaten cheese a few times but I don’t think that is really a big deal because I’m such a staunch vegan that there isn’t any danger of me “loosing control and falling off the wagon and going back to being a non-vegan,” because being a vegan is actually such an easy thing to do. I’ve tended to end up eating cheese once or twice a year for whatever reason and I don’t think that is really a problem. I think some vegans might “hyperventilate” at the thought of intentionally eating cheese even once, and I think it is fine for people to be so strict about it if they want to be. Actually I ate at a Mexican restaurant before I left to visit family and I had a vegetarian burrito dish which had cheese on it, and when I came back from the visit I decided to have the same dish but a “veganized” version of it without the cheese and it was just as delicious, so I really should have just done that in the first place. Also I drank wine when visiting family which is usually not vegan because eggs are usually used in the production of if, so I really should have brought some bottles of vegan wine which definitely exists. I’ll probably continue to end up eating cheese as much as once or twice a year, but for now on I’ll be very strict about only drinking vegan wine. Here is an article which talks about vegan wine issues.)
When I switched to eating an almost all-raw food diet some years ago I found the food to be totally delicious, so eating only that wasn’t a problem from a willpower standpoint, however I found it to be rather labor and time-intensive to shop for the food and to prepare it so since then I’ve switched back to being mostly just a vegan who also likes to eat raw food. And also it is possible to gain weight even when eating only a raw food diet, so once again the “small portionist” aspect can still be important even in that case (although you can definitely usually eat much larger portions of raw food than non-raw food without gaining weight.)
In any event, switching to a vegan or even mostly to a raw vegan diet can be very easy to do without requiring much of any willpower at all (as long as you know what all of your options are), however also being a “small portionist” might be a different situation where I will need to force myself into a habit of not overeating and eating only a few times a day, which might be a bit of annoyance at first. However I’m devoted to that happening so I think it will mostly be easily within my grasp when all is said and done.
Update..
I went shopping again today.. The first time the total was $104.05, and the checkout time was 2:17. Actually when I left the store I looked at the receipt and I saw a previous time printed on it that said 2:16, so I thought that was the checkout time!
Later I was getting vibes that I shouldn’t go shopping again today, but I thought “no way, I must go again!” because of the previous checkout time.. And when I went shopping again the total was $30.77, with the checkout time being $7:59.
Update..
I went shopping today and got so-so amounts.. At first I got a total of $37.09 with a checkout time of 2:18.. That might initially seem great, but the “9” isn’t actually very good though, it is essentially a “negater”.. If it was an “8” on the other hand it would have been a great amount.
So I went back in the evening, and I thought that I was going to check out at 8:01, however the time ended up being 7:59! And the amount was $30.23.. So it wasn’t good amounts today, unfortunately.
