I thought the Bad Bunny performance at the Super Bowl was interesting, where even before I heard about the issue with the profanity that he sang in Spanish I thought that he seemed to be acting intentionally too extreme, perhaps as some sort of a strange veiled way of actually supporting or “helping” conservatives by demonstrating how dysfunctional society is becoming. And after I found out about the issue with the profanity it further reinforced that view with me.
I think a lot of leftists are likely angry with him for his show for that reason (even though they would never publicly admit it), where I think in some ways it was actually “courageous” of him to do what he did in light of his (potentially) true intentions.
But nonetheless it doesn’t really make what he did ok. It’s usually a bad idea to be too philosophical about such occurrences, where ultimately only what happened on the surface is what matters.
Not surprisingly I haven’t seen the Establishment and leftist media even mentioning the issue of the profanity, where they are still only fawning over his performance due to his being “diverse.”
