The new helmet that I bought is working out well, it is actually quieter than I initially gave it credit for. And when it is combined with the device that I mentioned in a previous post it is extremely quiet from wind noise.
Wind noise with my previous helmet was a problem, but the addition of the device that I mentioned pretty much fixed that. However it is not always really convenient to wear that device on sort trips.
It is also possible to add this “Wind Jammer” device underneath such helmets, so I ordered one of those and I will report the results.
Other than the wind issue, I like the design of the previous helmet though. It has a field of view that is so large that you don’t see any part of the helmet when you are looking out from it, and you can wear any glasses with it. I think I made a mistake with my choice of its color though, which was a part of my decision to replace it rather than to keep working on fixing the wind issue. I would buy a darker color if I were to buy one again.
