Update: September 15, 2022

I’ve been doing a lot of tweaking of technical issues, as well as fixing issues in articles that I’m finding.  It can be really aggravating when I find poor grammar and typos that was existing in the articles, sorry about that.  I’m looking forward to being able to have other sets of eyes looking at the information before it gets published.

Whenever I get back into working on programming that I’ve been away from for a while, I often think in the initial moments, “Oh no, what is all this!?” .. but then it all comes back very quickly.  I’m actually a good programmer, and I’m meticulous about organizing and documenting my code which makes continued development of it very efficient.

I’ve been doing a lot of PHP and MySQL programming over the past few years, and I definitely consider myself to be an expert with those.  PHP has a very elegant syntax that I really like.  I like it much more than clunky Javascript that I trudge through only when I need to.

I’ve been wanting to get more into jQuery, but I’ve been putting off doing that hoping to be able to speak with consultants and delegate the development of it.  jQuery is Javascript-based code that allows a webpage to be “alive” after it has been served to the viewer in their browser.  It is usually what is used for article slideshows that are on top of homepages for example, but there are also a lot of other uses for it.

Currently I’m tweaking the site’s remote management capabilities with the assumption that the resolution will happen early next month.  My approach for implementing it is primarily by using WordPress, which is a broadly adopted standard, so further development of that is also something that will be easy to delegate.

I won’t really need much technical help once the resolution happens (initially at least), but instead I will be interested in finding people who would like to help creating articles and managing content.  I will need people who would be willing to “donate” their efforts rather than “barter” for it due to issues that could occur otherwise.  For example I can’t “link back” to people who help because some people might come with ulterior motives, such as promoting the grooming of children, ect..  I can’t even really “credit” people who create the articles for that reason, but rather I would have such articles be credited to “News of Interest.TV staff,” for example.  I am very interested in what people think, but I do need to direct what is happening.  If someone understands and appreciates why it needs to be that way then their contributions of help would be a very effective way for them to help make a difference.

I hope all is well ..
