I’ve been improving a lot of my websites, including making them responsive so they can be viewed on tablets and phones.
I think Solarhat.TV looks a lot better with it now filling the screen. I also changed Open Minded Realism to have a link on its nav bar to a search page, and Sketchspace now has HTTPS enabled.
I also fixed the homepage for GiveUsYourMoney.TV, which was made in Flash years ago. Flash is no longer used on web browsers, however the same type of interface for GUYM can now be made using CSS and Javascript.
I haven’t really worked with CSS and Javascript in a while, but I’m getting the hang of it again after some research and experimentation. I’m starting to use JQuery as well. My Windows system is not running right now so I still need to check the sites on that.
I’ve switched to using an old-style flip phone because somehow the alarm on my iPhone was being set to go off at times when I didn’t tell it to, which concerns me. Also iPhones are generally invasive anyway and they aren’t open source. I still have my iPhone without the cellular plan, but I need to set it up again. I still need to test the new configurations of the sites on real mobile devices, but I did look at online simulations.
I’m looking into making the RoomaZoomZoom / GUYM / Solarhat TV style of websites always display in landscape mode on phones and tablets, which is uncommon but is technically possible. I will post the next update to them soon with their mobile capabilities much more refined.
I hope all is well..
